Purpose:The Lead Building Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems, ensuring optimal performance of the building's equipment. The individual in this role will coordinate with the Chief Engineer, Property Manager, and other team members to provide top-tier building services while maintaining tenant relations and adhering to safety and environmental regulations.

Education, Experience and Skills Required:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a building engineer.
- City of Detroit High-Pressure Boiler Operator License (3rd Class Stationary Engineer License preferred).
- City of Detroit First-Class Refrigeration Operator License.
- EPA 608 Universal Certification.
- Proficient with CMMS software (e.g., 360 Facility) and test equipment (e.g., multi-meters, airflow devices).
- Strong knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical control devices and BAS systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and shop manuals.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact positively with tenants, co-workers, and contractors.
