Overview:

This newly created role at CAES-Lansdale plans, organizes and leads the design and implementation of training & development programs required to further the capabilities our employees. Our innovators engineer, manufacture and deliver complex technology solutions for the most critical defense missions.

To maintain a training schedule and train / certify employees to IPC-J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610. Conduct in-process and final inspection of assemblies to determine compliance to workmanship and drawing requirements as assigned by Quality Manager.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Create program of continual training on the Production floor for new employees.
  • Monitoring of In-process Inspection metrics, creating Quality Alerts, and training to the alerts (AS, Production, Test).
  • Daily involvement on Production floor, monitoring Assembly work and inspections.
  • Weekly roving audits of assemblers and AS personnel with the intent to recognize areas of improvement. Set up training and comprehension of training verifications.
  • Help to identify employee skill level against business needs to reduce time required to develop skills, thereby improving operations and competitiveness of the business.
  • Undertake instructional design. Coordinates external resources. Review, select, and procure commercially available courseware. Collaborate with our headquarter Talent Management area to deliver corporate-driven training and development.
  • Own the repository of training records. Evaluate and benchmark the platform so that it meets the IT requirements of the Company. Initially, this will require migration of existing platform to a new solution.
  • Ability to work in a classroom and manufacturing setting providing training.
  • Ability to work with all levels of employees including presentations with management, vendors and customers.
  • Company training program management and administration.
  • Stamp Control Management.
  • Solder Log verification and administration.
  • Inspects and approves in-process material and final material by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement test.
  • Proficient in blue-print reading and tolerances
  • Inspect electronic assemblies, sub-assemblies, comparing them with production layouts and knowledge of military and commercial soldering specifications.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates ability to multi-task and show flexibility throughout the workday.
  • Demonstrates ability to make a sound decision based on training and work-related classes.

  • IPC-J-STD-001 CIT
  • IPC-A-610 CIT
  • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards
  • Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors
  • Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary
  • Working knowledge and/or skill in word-processing, spreadsheets and most importantly Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to adhere to workplace rules
  • Previous Quality Inspection experience
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a “US Person” under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Preferred Skills:

  • Management of a training platform; preferred WorkRamp

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study: Engineering; Business; Learning & Development etc.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in design / development of multimedia training programs
Salary Range: $37.52 - $56.28 per hour. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as business results.
