Robert Half - Accounting Manager

We are searching for an Accounting Manager to join our team located in East Brunswick, New Jersey. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for managing various accounting functions, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, conducting audits, handling billing functions, and utilizing QuickBooks for daily operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable/receivable and general ledger
• Conduct thorough reviews and analysis of all accounting and financial procedures
• Develop and implement improvements to accounting systems and procedures
• Manage the preparation and publication of timely monthly financial statements
• Coordinate internal and external audits and manage tax audits and tax returns
• Direct and oversee all aspects of the Billing functions of the organization
• Manage and track the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines
• Utilize QuickBooks for the management of all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
• Coordinate the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and report variances
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven managerial experience in an accounting role.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong organizational and management skills.
