Overview:

Responsibilities:

As an Engineering Support SME you will have the opportunity to do the following:

  • Utilize DoD and USAF engineering principles to enhance weapon system manufacturing, operations, and demilitarization.
  • Translate user needs into system requirements for design and development of systems and equipment.
  • Formulate action plans and policies to maintain advanced manufacturing and operational capabilities.
  • Conduct technical analyses and design feasibility studies, contributing to system concept development.
  • Evaluate proposals, specifications, and Interface Control Documents for compatibility and feasibility.
  • Support lifecycle cost analysis and risk assessment, providing insights into producibility and maintainability.
  • Evaluate test plans and support systems integration throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
  • Analyze alternatives and create strategies for system manufacturing and support to end-of-life.
  • Teach Anti-Tamper courses, develop curriculum, and maintain Security Classification Guides (SCGs).
  • Collaborate with DoD and industry groups to refine and publish SCGs, offering reach back support when needed.

Qualifications:

  • MS/MA or higher in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • In lieu of the MS/MA or higher in a relevant engineering discipline, a BS in a relevant engineering discipline and a MS/MA or higher, or an equivalent professional degree.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a SAP/SCI environment within the last 5 years.
  • Active Top Secret (TS) clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation.
  • Eligibility for SCI and SAP access.
Pay Transparency Statement:
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $92,100.00/Yr. - USD $193,900.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
