Compensation:
Salary Range: $49.14 - $76.56 / hour
The pay range above represents the lowest possible rate for the position and the highest possible rate. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role.Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range.

Pay for PRN positions is calculated differently than Full-Time, Regular Part-Time, and Part-Time positions. PRN Rates depend on the position and other factors, including years of experience, or shift commitment according to the department policy.PRN differential is added in certain positions.
Responsibilities:
Position Overview:
The Infection Prevention Coordinator reports directly to the Infection Preventionist Director. The Infection Prevention Coordinator is responsible for system-wide activities of monitoring and minimizing infection risks to patients and personnel through ongoing surveillance and effective reporting of data.As directed, the Infection Prevention Coordinator will function as a subject matter clinical expert in the prevention of infections and assist with the implementation of hospital-wide infection prevention activities. This position supports all Community Memorial Healthcare facilities.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Current California Registered Nurse License, or Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License, or Master's Degree in Public Health/Epidemiology with a related health science field, along with two (2) years of relevant healthcare experience
- Basic knowledge of infection and asepsis principles
- Computer skills, including database management and knowledge of statistical methodology
- Associate Infection Prevention and Control (a-IPC) and Long-Term Care Infection Prevention Certification (LTC-CIP) at time of hire or must be obtained within two (2) years of hire
Preferred:
- Master's Degree in Nursing, Public Health/Epidemiology, Microbiology, or Doctoral Degree in Medicine (MD, DO, MBBS), along with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in infection control or a healthcare-related role in general acute care, critical access, and/or long-term care facilities.
