Job Title: Finance Director

What You’ll Do:

• Oversee financial operations, including managing financials for 10+ funders under the Community Action Agency umbrella.
• Prepare and present financial reports to executive leadership and external funding agencies, including compliance requirements for Head Start and other NFP (Not-for-Profit) funding programs.
• Lead financial audits and act as the liaison for external auditors.
• Utilize GMS software to maintain accounting records and streamline operations.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with federal and state regulations.
• Support budget development and monitoring to align with organizational objectives.

What We’re Looking For:

• 3–5 years of experience in non-profit accounting with a strong understanding of NFP and grant funding compliance.
• Audit experience and the ability to confidently present and explain financials to internal teams and external agencies.
• Familiarity with Head Start funding is a strong plus.
• Leadership experience is welcomed but not required—key focus is on accounting, reporting, and compliance.
• Proficiency in GMS software and a commitment to accuracy and detail.
