Surgical Technologist - ST24-14155

Shifts per Week: 4

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field throughout surgical procedures.
• Assemble surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring they are ready for use.
• Assist in positioning patients on the operating table and preparing the surgical site.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team during procedures.
• Ensure the correct handling and disposal of surgical instruments and materials.
• Participate in the count of all instruments, sponges, and needles before and after the procedure.
• Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures, including documentation of instruments used.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to promote a positive and efficient operating room environment.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety procedures at all times.
• Provide assistance during procedures, including suctioning, sponging, and cutting sutures as directed.
• Participate in continuing education and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of surgical tech experience.

Licensure:

• Valid GA state license.

Certification:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Specialization:

• Proven experience working with children (from gestation to age 17), including pediatric and scrub exposure is a must.
