Pay Rate: Competitive, Based on Experience

Job Summary:

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will support clinical and clerical tasks in a cardiovascular office under the supervision of a healthcare provider.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare exam rooms and assist with patient exams.
• Take vital signs and perform diagnostic tests (EKG, PFT, Audiometry, etc.).
• Provide phlebotomy and assist with billing/collections.
• Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA.
• Adapt care to meet diverse patient needs.
• Lift up to 5 lbs. and stand for up to 6 hours daily.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Certifications:
• AHA BLS
• One of the following: CMA-NHA, CMA-NCCT, CMA-AAMA, RMA-AMT, RMA-NAHP, AMCA, NCMA
• Experience: 2-3 years as a CMA; cardiovascular experience preferred.
• Skills:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in computerized data entry

Preferred Experience:

• Cardiology experience.
