Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Construction

About Our Client

Our client is a top general contractor located in the Cincinnati Metro - primary focus on light industrial and Treatment construction projects. Due to a strong pipeline, they are immediately seeking the appointment of an experienced and driven construction assistant project manager to help lead multiple projects across the Cincinnati area with the project manager.

• Contacting subcontractors and vendors during bid process
• Project scope of work development
• Project planning and implementation of activities
• Document management and logging including safety documentation, submittals, drawing logs, RFIs, transmittals, close out documents, meeting minutes
• Subcontractor and superintendent coordination
• Travel to job sites as required by PM and/or superintendents

The Successful Applicant

To secure this position, you will be a driven and motivated construction professional with previous experience working on commercial, industrial or multifamily projects. The successful Assistant Project Manager:

• 2-3 years of experience working in the construction industry
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, civil engineering or a related field
• Manage administrative construction duties, including document control
• Prepare submittal schedules for approval and distribution
• Assist the Project Manager with change orders, subcontractor scheduling and invoicing, reviewing monthly job costs
• Assist the Superintendent with RFI reports, QA/QC documentation, and construction field operations
• Assist with preconstruction tasks, including estimating and quantification
• Collect and log closeout documents and punch lists

• Competitive base salary between $65,000 and $80,000, depending on level of experience
