Description

Are you a student or recent graduate who is looking to gain experience utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) in regulatory analysis? We are now seeking a Research & Policy Analyst Intern who will support ongoing research projects assisting with the research, monitoring, and development of AI-based solutions.

You will assist with a project utilizing AI in legal regulatory analysis, shaping policies and regulations to ensure the responsible and ethical use of AI technologies.

Learning Objectives

Research and learn about established AI governance frameworks, emerging literature and proposals in AI governance, while working on a project utilizing AI in legal regulatory analysis using AI tools.
  • Conducting and monitoring policy research on AI and related systems
  • Engaging in events, discussions, coalitions on AI policy
  • Work closely with team members to align AI solutions with business goals
  • Contribute ideas and insights during team meetings, offering solutions to optimize AI solutions
  • Maintain detailed records of AI experiments, model development processes, and results
  • Assist in preparing reports and presentations summarizing the outcomes of AI research or experiments
Requirements
  • Undergraduate or Graduate students in business, public policy, public health, health management, economics, or similar social sciences
  • 1-3 years of experience in healthcare analysis
  • Familiarity with healthcare law, health finance, or insurance processes
  • Experience with policy analysis
  • Experience with regulatory research and briefs
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to hardwire into the internet when accessing sensitive data
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Must currently reside in the US
  • Must be able to successfully complete a background screening process
  • We prefer local candidates to the Alexandria, VA office
