Cyber Security Engineer

You will also be responsible for conducting audits and scans, maintaining cybersecurity knowledge and developing new defensive protocols, managing security tools, and leading employee training on cybersecurity.

• Monitor network, server, workstation, and IoT devices to protect against cyberattacks and execute defensive protocols when a breach occurs.
• Regularly conduct audits and scans of network and servers to identify potential security vulnerabilities and violations.
• Stay abreast of current cybercrime tactics and develop new protocols and layers of protection to stay ahead of potential threats.
• Implement changes to enhance the overall IT security posture in line with industry best practices.
• Manage and configure security tools and maintain incident response processes and procedures.
• Develop and update business continuity and disaster recovery protocols.
• Complete industry-standard questionnaires and surveys to assess the company's overall cybersecurity position and coordinate with IT staff to remedy deficiencies.
• Lead employee training programs to prevent phishing and other forms of cyberattacks.
• Prepare investigation reports that document security concerns and/or violations.
• Provide recommendations to protect sensitive company and customer information.

• Knowledge and experience in Checkpoint, Firewall Technologies, Configuration Management, and Cyber Security.
• Must have a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience in the utilities/infrastructure industry.
• Proficiency in Checkpoint and Firewall Technologies.
• Experience in Configuration Management is required.
• Solid understanding and experience in Cyber Security.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and risk management methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
