Senior Accountant

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team located in Prince George's County, Maryland. The role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity in the higher education industry. The Senior Accountant will be expected to maintain a thorough understanding of accounting software systems and be proficient in using Workday.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the management the budget processes within the organization
• Utilize Workday and other accounting software systems effectively for financial management
• Conduct regular audits to ensure financial compliance and accuracy
• Manage fixed assets and maintain detailed records for the same
• Regularly monitor and analyze profit and loss statements
• Perform tasks related to Microsoft Excel for data management and financial analysis
• Ensure the accuracy and efficiency in processing credit applications of customers
• Maintain customer credit records with utmost accuracy and confidentiality
• Take appropriate action on monitoring customer accounts based on the transaction history
• Resolve customer inquiries related to their credit applications and accounts.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience in Auditing
• Understanding of Budget Processes
• Familiarity with Workday
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge in managing Fixed Assets
