Patient Service Representative

Core Responsibilities:

  • Greeting patients warmly as they arrive and leave, acting as the first point of contact
  • Efficiently managing patient check-in and check-out procedures
  • Scheduling and confirming patient appointments effectively.
  • Collecting co-payments for services rendered while maintaining records accurately.
  • Handling incoming phone calls with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Thoroughly confirm and update patient demographic information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  • Obtaining prior authorizations as required for patient treatment.
  • Effectively load physician clinic templates into EMR for streamlined operations.
  • Attentively compiling medical records whilst ensuring patient confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with an ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in utilizing EMR systems.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and patient care procedures.
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
