Description
The Education and Labor Cabinet’s mission is to educate, prepare and train Kentucky's current and future workforces. Our goal is to create and make continuous improvements to an education and workforce system that prepares Kentuckians for the 21st century workforce, while helping businesses find the skilled workers they need to compete and create jobs in the Commonwealth.
The Office of Vocational Rehabilitation empowers individuals with disabilities to maximize employment, achieve economic self-sufficiency and independence, and to contribute back to society. We also help businesses and employers recruit, retain and accommodate employees with disabilities.
We are seeking a Food Preparation Center Coordinator to supervise the preparation and serving of meals three time a day at Charles Mc Dowell Center for in house and day students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare healthy daily menus within budget
- Responsible for planning meals that meet the dietary restrictions for any student that admits with medical guidance.
- Train, supervise and evaluate kitchen staff. Assist with preparation and serving of meals
- Purchase food, review and maintain records such as food inventory, deliveries, receipts and other day to day operational record keeping
- Maintain sanitized food prep and service areas. Apply and enforce departmental rules, regulations and policies relative to food preparation
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum RequirementsEDUCATION: High school graduate.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Four years of sub professional or professional experience in a food service operation.
