Overview:

This position is primarily responsible for assisting the dentists under a Dental Operating Microscope during the examination and treatment of patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Record patient charting and dentist's notes in digital patient charts.
  • Take X-rays and CBCT scans.
  • Provide four-handed chairside assistance to the dentist under a Dental Operating Microscope during procedures.
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments, operatories, and equipment.
  • Instruct patients on post-operative care and general oral health.
  • Conduct follow-up calls to patients regarding their treatment.
  • Collaborate with dental and front office team to ensure the dentist’s schedule runs efficiently.
  • Adhere to infection-control policies and procedures in accordance with state guidelines.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist with daily, weekly and monthly operatory cleaning and equipment testing.
  • Contribute productively to the team and excel as an individual contributor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

Dental Assistant experience

Knowledge of dental practice and procedures preferred

Knowledge of dental radiographs

Knowledge of dental software programs
