Overview:

Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Senior Electrical Engineer/Senior Project Manager to expand our Solar, Electrical practice in Orlando, Florida (FL)!

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and analysis of complex electrical systems for solar, renewable generation, energy storage, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and various other projects
  • Responsible for the review and development of design documents and reports, including electrical layouts, equipment schematics and block diagrams, electrical system calculations, and one-line diagrams
  • Daily interaction and collaboration on multi-disciplinary teams, with interaction across Kimley-Horn offices
  • Prepare project specifications, electrical construction cost estimates, and proposals, supporting the growth of electrical engineering service areas in the lcoal market and across the country
  • Leadership responsibilities include:

  • Growing and leading an Solar, Electrical practice
  • Our Project Managers/Practice Builders manage their projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, and act as a positive leader and mentor
  • The successful candidate will be given a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their business

Qualifications:

  • 8 years+ of relevant experience managing Electrical projects
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred
  • Firm understanding of the National Electrical Code, National Electrical Safety Code, IEEE and ANSI Standards
  • Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage and mentor staff, and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably
