Staff Accountant - Construction

STAFF ACCOUNTANT - Residential Construction Company in Norcross

Experience in the construction industry is ideal but not required. Familiarity with Sage Intacct or similar accounting software is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing financial statements such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Support the maintenance and reconciliation of the general ledger to ensure accurate financial data.
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and collections.
• Support payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely payments to employees.
• Provide assistance during annual audits, gathering and preparing necessary documentation.
• Help analyze costs and expenses and assist in identifying opportunities for cost savings.
• Perform basic financial and variance analysis to support decision-making.
• Contribute to identifying areas for process improvement in accounting functions.
• Utilize accounting software for data management and financial reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1+ years of relevant accounting experience (experience in the construction industry is a plus).
• Familiarity with Sage Intacct or similar accounting software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
