Clinical Dietitian | Dietary General | Part Time | Day Shift
Overview:
The primary responsibility of the Clinical Dietitian is to plan, organize, direct and evaluate all phases of patient nutritional care, including patient therapy and education. Other responsibilities include monitoring the nutritional health of patients to see that dietary recommendations are being followed, encouraging patients to eat and counseling patients and families on nutritional modifications.The Clinical Dietitian proactively works with all related departments (medical, nursing, pharmacy, etc.) conducting nutritional screenings and assessments, and prepares plans and evaluation techniques according to the standards of care. In addition, the Clinical Dietitian is involved with staff training, orientation of new dietitians, continuing education and representing UF Health Central Florida professionally and ethically as required.
Non-Essential duties may include Filling in other roles/positions as necessary or any other duties as assigned by a manager.

Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates knowledge of CBORD, STAR and Citrix computer systems
- Communicates effectively with all staff Assists in maintaining accreditation standards of The Joint Commission.
- Demonstrates compliance with all HCAHPS behaviors to allow patients and families to have an excellent hospital experience.
- Completes assigned work as scheduled in allotted time frame.
- Engages in departmental/hospital committees, PI projects, educational offerings to peers, mentoring/precepting of new team members.
- Attends Staff Meetings, completes all required competencies and mandatory education as assigned.
- Seeks training, educational, certification and enhancement in area focus/specialty.
- Demonstrates behavior standards that enhance positive interactions with physicians, peers, patients and family members.
- Completes other duties as requested/assigned.
Qualifications:
Education- Bachelor’s Degree
- Must obtain Florida license within 6 months of employment
- Registered with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
