We are currently seeking an Automation and Process Engineer to join us in our purpose of providing “Clean Hands for a Healthy World.”
At Kutol the Automation and Process Engineer will be responsible for identifying opportunities for designing and implementing automated systems and leading/contributing to continuous improvement projects. This role requires a hands-on approach to problem-solving and a strong background in engineering principles, automation technologies, and process optimization.The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovating within a manufacturing environment, and a commitment to driving efficiency and productivity.
The responsibilities of this position include
Automation Design and Implementation.- Identify processes within the manufacturing facility that can be improved through automation.
- Design, develop, and implement automated systems and equipment to enhance production efficiency and quality of product.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions into existing manufacturing processes.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of new processes and equipment, adjusting as necessary.
- Ensure that all automated systems comply with safety standards and regulations.
- Support/lead the analysis of current manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and successfully implement process improvements across multiple shifts to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and manage automation and process improvement projects from conception to completion.
- Lead and support the purchase of automation and process improvement equipment as identified through data driven means.
- Identify packaging configurations that can be optimized and manage projects to see changes through with internal teams and outside vendors.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for automated systems and equipment.
- Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime of automated systems.
- Support Quality Assurance in maintaining documentation for all automated systems, including schematics, SOPs, user manuals, and maintenance procedures.
- Conduct training sessions for staff on new processes and equipment
- Assist Kutol’s Research, Development, and Innovation (RD&I) Department in the product development process. Help to create new soap dispensers, containers, closures, packaging configurations, etc...
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
Education/Experience·- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related).
- 3+ years of experience in automation engineering required. 3+ years of experience in process engineering or related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automation technologies, including PLCs, robotics, sensors, and control systems.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Certification in one of these methodologies preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficient in CAD software and other engineering design tools.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and standards in a manufacturing environment.
- Analytical Ability: able to evaluate diverse data sets and determine cause/effect relationships. Able to isolate key information and determine the impact of process or procedure changes.
- Problem Solving: Strong mechanical aptitude and hands on approach to identify effective and efficient solutions for complex problems that drive results.
- Organizational Leadership: ability to apply organizational leadership concepts to engage and motivate others to successfully implement change.
- Written/Verbal Communication: can quickly and effectively communicate complex information to a variety of audiences.

Salary for qualified candidates will be $100k annually.A review of your performance will be made after three months in the position, and performance and compensation reviewed on your one-year anniversary.
