Role Summary:
As a Senior Director of Proposal Management at Tsymmetry, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and ultimate success of our company. You will be responsible for executive proposal management expertise and hands-on support for specific opportunities in support of the company’s overall growth strategy.The successful candidate will be an analytic and strategic thinker; an expert communicator; and a hands-on leader who can guide and contribute to every aspect of the proposal process, in support of the BD lifecycle.
What you will be doing:
Duties and Responsibilities- Proposal Development:
- Lead and collaborate with proposal development teams to identify and manage proposal resources who can meet deadlines and exceed expectations.
- Ensure all proposal submissions are compliant, compelling and on deadline.
- Take an active role in proposal writing and review, ensuring proposals are compelling, with the requisite win themes and strategy infused throughout.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead and inspire cross-functional proposal teams, ensuring all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented environment, driving team cohesion and accountability.
- General Business Development Activities:
- Support the Capture Manager, where appropriate, to collaborate with cross-functional teams to reinforce win themes, pricing strategies, and customer value propositions.
- Utilize the Tsymmetry BD process to effectively guide proposal efforts.
- Attend recurring and ad hoc BD meetings, as appropriate.
- Ensure a smooth transition from the proposal phase to contract execution, working closely with project management teams.
- Other duties as assigned.
What we need from you:
Required Skills and Abilities- Proven track record of leading and winning critical proposal efforts for US government clients, awards in excess of $50m.
- Ability to follow an established tailored win strategy and see it through to fruition with direct support of the Capture Manager.
- Strong familiarity with the Shipley Process or similar industry-leading proposal methodologies.
- Exceptional written expression and proposal writing savvy.
- Familiarity with AI software to drive capture and proposal efficiency, where appropriate.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Natural ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Willingness to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 15+ years of relevant and progressively responsible work in the area Proposal Management and strong writing acumen.
- Hybrid work model with occasional work at our Tysons Corner, VA Headquarters office.
- Anticipated Travel: Roughly 10% based on candidate’s location.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Ray Range: $175k - $210k
The pay range for this job is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
