Position Overview
As the Director of Human Resources, you will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, responsible for overseeing all HR operations, talent strategies, and workforce development initiatives to ensure a thriving workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the hotel's operational and financial goals.
- Oversee talent acquisition, recruitment, and retention efforts to attract top hospitality talent.
- Drive employee engagement, training, and professional development programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and hospitality industry standards.
- Manage compensation, benefits, and performance management to foster a positive work environment.
- Lead workplace culture initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
- Handle employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes with fairness and consistency.
- Maintain HR metrics, including turnover rates, labor costs, and workforce planning.
- Collaborate with leadership to enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
- Oversee HRIS (Human Resources Information System) for efficient employee management.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
βοΈ 5+ years of HR leadership experience in the hotel/hospitality industry.βοΈ Bachelorβs degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (SHRM or PHR certification preferred).
βοΈ Deep understanding of labor laws, employee relations, and workforce compliance.
βοΈ Experience with HRIS systems and payroll software.
βοΈ Proven ability to build and maintain a strong workplace culture.
βοΈ Strong knowledge of hospitality operations and workforce challenges.
βοΈ Exceptional leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
