We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Human Resources Administrator in Shelton, Connecticut. In this role, you will be involved in various facets of human resource management, including recruitment, payroll processing, benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, compliance, policy implementation, HR administration, and training and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the complete recruitment cycle, from job postings to onboarding, ensuring that staffing needs are effectively met.
  • Manage payroll operations, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and timely.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies, and address any inquiries, enrollment, and changes.
  • Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and support.
  • Develop and implement performance improvement plans and support the performance review process.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies, keeping abreast of changes in regulations.
  • Assist in the development, updating, and communication of HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation in line with legal requirements.
  • Prepare HR reports and use data analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Coordinate training programs and workshops to enhance employee skills and knowledge. Identify training needs and track employee development initiatives.
  • Utilize tools such as 'ADP Workforce Now', 'Microsoft Office Suites' for efficient HR operations.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Human Resources Administrator role or similar position.
  • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now is essential.
  • Must be experienced in conducting background checks.
  • Knowledge of benefit functions, compliance, and corporate recruiting.
  • Experience in creating and managing job postings.
  • Skilled in applicant screening and onboarding processes.
  • Proficient in benefits administration.
  • Strong skills in employee relations and appraising performance.
  • Experience in conducting and managing employee training programs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
