Accounts Payable Specialist

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in the manufacturing sector, located in Rochester, New York. This role involves managing high volume accounts payable invoicing, conducting check runs, and maintaining accurate financial records.

• Oversee the accounts payable function including invoice processing and check runs
• Maintain accurate financial records and perform account reconciliations
• Utilize various accounting software including Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for data entry and invoice processing
• Manage high volume invoicing, particularly during the busier summer season
• Assist with the transition to a new ERP system and take on additional inventory work responsibilities
• Collaborate with the Controller, Assistant Controller, AR Specialist, and part-time accounting/office assistant to ensure smooth financial operations
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks and reporting. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable Clerk role or similar position within the manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP).
• Experience in executing Check Runs and Coding Invoices.
• Strong skills in Data Entry and Invoice Processing.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for managing financial transactions.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field would be advantageous.
