Intake/Billing Specialist

We are seeking an Intake/Billing Specialist to become a part of our team in Laguna Hills, California. In this role, you will be responsible for managing patient information intake and providing billing services . This position offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out data entry tasks related to patient billing, prioritizing accuracy and timeliness
• Adhere to medical and personal information security regulations to maintain patient record confidentiality
• Work closely with lab and clinical personnel to rectify any discrepancies within patient records or data
• Stay updated with billing regulations and practices, especially those specific to laboratory services
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of our company's accessioning procedures and protocols
• Regularly participate in quality control measurements to ensure absolute accuracy in data entry
• Resolve any issues related to billing and data entry
• Provide necessary training to other staff members as required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Allscripts software.
• Experience with Cerner Technologies.
• Skills in managing appeals.
• Experience in authorizations.
• Understanding of benefit functions.
• Proficiency in billing functions.
