EH076 - Live-In Nanny - NYC

Overview:

A wonderful family of four living in Manhattan is seeking a nanny to help care for their two children. The schedule is to be determined but will be Monday through Friday and approximately 7am-6.30pm/7pm.

This is a sole charge position with the nanny caring for their 3.5-year-old daughter and newborn son. Their daughter attends pre-school every morning and the nanny would collect her after class and take her to any scheduled activities afterwards.

This is a live-in position, and a studio in the same building will be provided for the nanny.

Responsibilities:

• All duties related to the care of the children
• Child related laundry, tidying, and organization (the family has a housekeeper so family housekeeping is NOT required)
• Prepare children's meals, including baby food
• To be able to set clear boundaries with the children
• Proactively planning outings and playdates
• Ensure the children attend any scheduled classes such as dance, etc.

Qualifications:

• Background in childhood development and education
• Energetic and engaging
• Positive attitude
• Organized self-starter- the parents do not want to micromanage
• Looking for a long-term fit
• Valid drivers license and clean driving record (but not essential) during the summer months you would have use of the family car
• The ability to speak Romanian would be highly desired

Requirements:

• Mid December start date
• A strong swimmer is essential
• The ideal candidate should be super flexible
• You must be willing to travel to Upstate New York with the family during the summer months and live-in

Salary and Benefits:

• 2 weeks PTO
• 5 sick days
• $35 with flexibility DOE
