We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in ASTON, Pennsylvania on a part-time basis. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a vital role in our team, managing a range of tasks from processing customer applications, maintaining customer records, to resolving inquiries.
You will also be responsible for monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner
- Maintain and update customer credit records, ensuring all information is accurate
- Manage invoice orders and ensure they align with purchase orders
- Handle check cutting procedures and journal entries as needed
- Verify order accuracy and rectify any discrepancies
- Prepare and manage 1099 forms for the appropriate parties
- Utilize accounting software systems to perform accounting functions
- Apply account coding principles to categorize financial transactions
- Address and resolve customer inquiries related to accounts payable
- Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience working as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in account coding is required.
- Demonstrated experience with accounting software systems is necessary.
- Familiarity with various accounting functions, including but not limited to, accounts payable (AP) is a must.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are needed.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required.
- Must have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Knowledge of general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts, and corporate procedures is desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses are required.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
