The Senior Supply Chain Manager manages the development and creation of production planning, procurement, inventory management and logistics requirements and best practices. This position proactively measures performance of the production plan execution and procurement process to ensure the business is successful at meeting customer needs as well as key business objectives.
This role actively works with the Global Resonetics organizations to support and improve the production planning, procurement, inventory management and logistics processes.
The Supply Chain Manager will work closely with the Business Operations, Engineering, Production and Global Supply teams to drive lead-time reductions, process and cost improvements. While supporting the local site and managing the supply chain team, this role is responsible for taking a broader business view to problems, projects and assignments.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and structure a high-performing supply chain organization, including planning, warehouse associates, and shipping/receiving teams, ensuring efficient workflows, clear roles and responsibilities, and a culture of accountability to support seamless operations and meet business objectives.
- Develop and monitor production schedules to meet customer service requirements and operational goals.
- Monitor raw material ordering and work with buyers and planners to ensure continuous supply, resolving procurement lead time issues and capacity constraints.
- Interface with customer operations and planning to align order requirements and inventory needs.
- Manage intercompany purchasing/planning between sites, ensuring smooth and efficient coordination of inventory transfers and timely order fulfillment.
- Manage all aspects of inventory management, ensuring adherence to SOPs, maintaining transactional accuracy and managing local cycle count program.
- Manage the shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, timely order fulfillment, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Coordinate with internal teams to optimize storage, minimize delays, and streamline distribution processes.
- Oversee engineering change orders (ECOs), material obsolescence, and end-of-life situations for purchased materials in collaboration with the buyer team.
- Act as a liaison between local operations, sourcing, and planning to drive lead time reductions and cost-effective improvements.
- Lead and participate in business-wide projects impacting supply chain processes, including ERP improvements, process optimization and risk management.
- Ensure data integrity for item attributes and maintain accurate records in the ERP system.
- Leverage ERP and supply chain management systems to streamline planning, procurement, and logistics functions.
- Apply LEAN principles to enhance planning and scheduling processes, focusing on demand-driven actions and improving overall supply chain efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 8 years of operations planning or central supply chain experience required.
- Proficient in ERP systems (experience with Epicor/QAD preferred).
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Supply chain management system experience.
Compensation:
The compensation for this role will be based on experience and qualifications. The anticipated range is $120,000 - $150,000/year.
