Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities in this role may include:
- Perform initial nursing assessment for clients within 24 hours of admission in accordance with established program policies and state regulation.
- Arrange appropriate appointments with Health Care Providers to secure complete physical examinations, as well as required additional health screenings and supplemental tests.
- Administer medications, as well supervise the self-administered medications, where appropriate and allowed by regulation.
- Maintain adequate inventory of medical supplies and accurate records of same in compliance with governing regulations and agency policy.
- Counsel clients on nutrition, health care, self-care, symptom management etc.
- Ensure that clients have appropriate medical coverage to guarantee safety, adequate care, and provider compliance for payment.
- Ensure proper storage of supplies as required by regulation.
- Assist in the facilitation of special events, including, but not limited to: staff training, staff retreat, workshops and facility events.
- Implement health seminars, including, but not limited to: HIV/AIDS, nutrition, medication education, infectious diseases, mental health, etc.
- Participate in treatment/multidisciplinary team meetings, as directed.
- Implement and assure adherence to infection control policies and practices.
- Provide education for clients regarding health, nutrition, safety, and medication compliance.
- Maintain RN license with good standing.
- Other related duties as assigned by Nurse Manager or designee.
Working Conditions:
- Required to work weekends at least once a month including one off shift per week to ensure to ensure program coverage.
- May be required to work shifts outside of assigned shifts during critical staffing shortages.
- The minimum holiday requirement is 1 major summer holiday (Memorial Day, July 4th, or Labor Day) and 1 major winter Holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s Day (night shift: New Year’s Eve). Other Holidays will be rotated amongst all staff.
- This position is deemed essential and will be required to work during inclement weather

Qualifications:
Qualifications for this role:
Education/Training: Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing. Must have good standing LPN/RN license valid in the state in which clinical will practice. Must also possess current CPR Certification. Behaviorial Health experience a plus.
Experience: New Grads and Newly Licensed RNs are welcomed and encouraged to apply as direct job experience is not a requirement for this position. We are eager to teach those that are fast learners, are confident, and can successfully meet the required expectations for this position!
