Security Engineer

We are looking for a dedicated Security Engineer to join our client's technology team. The Security Engineer will be responsible for effectively designing and implementing secure systems and strategies to mitigate risks and protect the company's infrastructure, networks, and data.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain corporate security procedures and policies.
2. Conduct routine audits of systems and software to identify and rectify potential security vulnerabilities.
3. Design secure network solutions and drive their implementation.
4. Defend systems against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction.
5. Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices.
6. Engage in security incident detection and response, co-ordinating with other teams as necessary.
7. Maintain knowledge of latest security trends, advisories, alerts, and vulnerabilities.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security or a relevant field.
2. Proven working experience in building and maintaining security systems.
3. In-depth understanding of various security protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, and content filtering.
4. Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies, and methods.
5. Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to quickly develop solutions in response to emerging threats.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms.
