We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Inventory Clerk in Springfield, Massachusetts, United States. In this role, you will be part of our team and play a key role in managing various aspects of our property management functions, including repairs, maintenance, warehousing, and office space.
You will also oversee the timely and cost-effective procurement of office supplies.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the maintenance of office space including scheduled cleaning, office space repairs and enhancements, security arrangements, and storage management.
- Coordinate office and workstation moves, including vendor activities, product installation, electrical, and data cabling requirements.
- Plan essential services such as reception, security, maintenance, warehousing, cleaning, shredding, recycling, furniture, and office equipment disposal.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise.
- Coordinate staff activities with regard to all facilities related activities including office supplies ordering, inventory management, warehouse management, and physical security.
- Establish usage procedures and guidelines for staff amenities and communicate these procedures as required.
- Coordinate repairs of damaged or malfunctioning office services equipment.
- Perform small carpentry tasks such as hanging bulletin boards, pictures, etc.
- Schedule and coordinate office moves, including computer equipment moves.
- Manage and maintain vendor relationships and activities for various products and services. • Demonstrated ability in Purchasing Functions and Purchasing Materials.
- Experience in managing vendor relationships effectively.
- Proficient in Data Entry, specifically numeric data entry.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain high levels of productivity.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to team goals.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to make informed decisions.
- Prior experience in an inventory or warehouse environment would be advantageous.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays, if required.
- High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
- Understanding of inventory management software or systems would be a plus.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items, when necessary.
