Our client is a top ranked GC in commercial construction company providing construction and renovation services to the commercial office, education, healthcare, retail/restaurant, and specialty markets. They have a strong reputation in Atlanta for their successful interiors projects and are shifting the business to picking up ground up projects as well.

Job Description

Help grow the current team of 3 precon professionals to 6. Must be comfortable overseeing a team and managing daily.
Prepare cost estimates in a timely manner at various stages of design from schematic and budget to detailed take-off and pricing.
Participate in project meetings, review schedules and prepare reports
Review and understand project requirements
Negotiate construction prices with subcontractors for competitive bidding
Organize subcontractors' quotations by trade with work items and comparative scope analysis
Exhibit a full understanding of general conditions, fee percentage calculations and scheduling of projects
Ensure Project Management team is provided with necessary documentation throughout the estimating process and work together on issues as they arise.
Maintain good communication with clients and subcontractors.
Demonstrate leadership of assigned projects including internal communication and meetings

The Successful Applicant

Minimum 10 years of experience in the commercial construction field.
Must be comfortable overseeing a team of 3-6 precon professionals.
Proficient in Building Connected, On Screen Take Off and Timberline Project Management preferred
Experience building processes and procedures.
Must be comfortable speaking and presenting to the client.
Experienced negotiating skills to secure reliable contractor/vendor bids.
Ability to read and interpret construction documents and materials.
Proficient computer skills
Excellent presentation, writing and communication skills. Spec writing is plus.
