FPGA Design Engineer
Role: ASIC & FPGA Design EngineerClient: DOD-AerospaceLocation: Orlando, FL Duration: 12-month contract Hourly Rate: up to $85/hr (W2, non-benefited)Clearance: Must be a US Citizen and must have ability to obtain Interim Secret Clearance. Position Description:-Develop, verify, and document FPGA designs.-Define architecture, logic design, and conduct system simulation.-Perform analysis covering all aspects from high-level design to synthesis, place and route, timing, and power optimization.-Utilize specialized equipment for operational data analysis, experimental tests, and result evaluation.-Collaborate with circuit card designers to conduct trade studies.-Create and release design requirement specifications.-Provide critical support in production environments, including debugging and troubleshooting FPGA-related issues.
Required Qualifications & Skills:-Must have strong experience in FPGA design and verification, with 4-6 years in HDL-based design and code documentation.-Proficiency in UVM and SystemVerilog is required.-Experience integrating FPGA solutions on hardware, with 4-6 years of experience in hardware design, integration, and simulation.-A strong background in embedded systems and programmable logic controls (PLC), with 2-4 years of experience in each area.-At least 4-6 years of experience in programming, including simulation validation.-Familiarity with debugging and troubleshooting FPGA-related issues in a production environment.-Active Secret Clearance preferred, or the ability to obtain an Interim Secret Clearance.
Desired Qualifications & Skills:-Experience with MATLAB/Simulink FPGA design (HDLCoder/SystemGenerator) or High-Level Synthesis (HLS) design is a plus.-Experience with configuration management (2-4 years), systems analysis, and design skills (2-4 years).-Familiarity with Simulink for FPGA modeling, with 2-4 years of experience.Required Experience & Education:Bachelor's Degree & 8+ years of related work experience is required
