Position Summary:
OVG is seeking a highly professional and polished Food Server to join our team in our Suites or Clubhouse locations at SoFi Center. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in serving and attendant etiquette, passionate about exceptional guest service, and committed to fostering a welcoming environment.As a Food Server, you will be responsible for providing a seamless dining experience, ensuring our guests feel valued from the moment they are seated until the end of their meal.
This role pays an hourly wage of $25 to $30.

About the Venue:
Oak View Group is the venue manager and food and beverage provider of SoFi Center, a first-of-its-kind venue located in Palm Beach Gardens on the campus of Palm Beach State College. SoFi Center will be the home of the TGL Golf League, founded by Tiger Woods and Rory Mcllroy, TGL presented by SoFi is a new golf league, combining advanced technology with teams of top players from the PGA TOUR for two-hour weekly competitions in prime time starting in January 2025.The arena will seat about 1,500 people and featured matches between 6 teams for the inaugural season.
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, warm, and discreet service, anticipating guest needs and personalizing the dining experience
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of our menu, and any seasonal or special offerings; confidently recommend pairings and answer guest inquiries
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring special requests or dietary preferences are noted and accommodated whenever possible
- Serve food and beverages with precision, maintaining a high level of table etiquette and presentation standards
- Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of dishes and communicate any guest feedback or concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of assigned tables, ensuring a well-presented dining area at all times
- Uphold high standards of professionalism, including appropriate dress code, grooming, and etiquette
- Works as a team to support and cover coworkers in times of high volume
- Assist with Suite/Clubhouse setup, restocking, and side work to support team efficiency and service quality
- Foster a welcoming and positive atmosphere, embodying the values and culture of OVG Hospitality
- Escalate concerns to OVG management staff for the successful outcome of an event or customer service situation.
Qualifications:
- A genuine and enthusiastic personality with a passion for the hospitality profession.
- Extremely strong communication skills using spoken and written words in a professional manner to members, guests and staff.
- Ability to cultivate a high-level of member services and satisfaction.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of progressive experience in high end restaurant, hotel/resort or private club food and beverage operations preferred.
- Positive attitude, passionate & highly motivated.
- Ability to handle many tasks at once.
- Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment with a keen eye for detail.
- Must be able to handle stress in a healthy and professional manner.
- Must be able to complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
- Has the ability to learn new technologies as necessary.
- Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.
- Ability to keep information confidential and operate with honesty and integrity.
- Food Handler’s Certification.
- Of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Alcoholic beverage server certification.
- Required to work irregular and extended hours including weekends and holidays
- Remain standing and walking for several hours during a work shift
- Must be able to stand; walk; bend; stoop; kneel and use hands to finger, handle or feel.
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to moderate noise levels in the work environment.
- Must be able to handle hot and cold interior and outdoor conditions.
- Protective gear may be required for some tasks.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to see the computer screen, paperwork, etc.
