Position Summary:
Assists in the development of, and instructs, all required training classes for revenue management team members.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
Facilitates Revenue Management training for Acute and Ambulatory operational areas Maintains all training materials, training tools, training records
Represents department as point person to organize training requests, training schedules, and training venues
Facilitates communication efforts with Information Services for security provisioning based upon class schedules and training
requests
Prepares meeting agendas and facilitates peer department meetings to gather education needs
Leads focus groups comprised of application end users to gather helpful feedback relating to the operational work flows of areas
using the applications that are being trained
Visits and observes job functions within all Revenue Management areas as applicable for training needs
Assist in the development of and instructs Revenue Management training classes
Assist with development of innovating training materials to meet the needs of the job titles for OHI team members
Assist senior educator in training team members to achieve metrics, Service Level Agreement measurements, and top performance
in revenue management
Reviews class materials, maintains industry and market intelligence, seeks financial, quality, and professional reports and articles to
enhance or modify class performance
Demonstrates excellence in presentation skills, capturing audience attention, and achieving high engagement and experience survey
results from team members (aka students)
Gathers performance feedback for managers on students achievement during training
Effectively communicates and serves as a subject matter expert on Revenue Management applications and operations initiatives Assist in the development and adjustment of training modes such as classroom instruction, YouTube videos, webinars, “Did you
knows”, etc. to meet the changing needs of team members, vendors, and other learning teams
Participates in meetings and task forces with other departments
Participates on cross-functional teams for new service lines, new builds, redesigns of training materials and other items as directed
by Senior Educators
Collaborates with all Revenue Management application support teams to ensure new processes are documented for training
purposes
Proficient in the use of all Revenue Management systems software
Develops collaborative relationships to support recurring evaluation of training needs across Revenue Management, Patient
Accounting, Patient Access, and Practice Management
Maintains education documentation and ensures the documentation is up to date with current functionality of applications the
documentation references
Qualifications:
Education/Training:
Bachelor’s degree or experience on a 1:1 basis; offsetting experience must be in the field of Revenue Management
Licensure/Certification:
CRCR received within one (1) year
Experience:
Three (3) years progressive Revenue Management (Acute or Ambulatory) experience required Minimum of (1) one year experience in training for Revenue Management Applications and/or Operations
Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
Excellent presentation skills
Systems proficiency required (Patient Accounting systems, MS Suite-Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
