Billing Coordinator
Overview:
Pure Dental seeks a highly motivated and dedicated Billing Coordinator to join our team at our Woodbridge, VA, location. This full-time position is integral to ensuring smooth operations within our practice. It focuses explicitly on managing insurance verifications, patient billing, and seamless communication between patients and the office.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, possess strong organizational skills, and be proficient in managing patient accounts and insurance claims. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to Pure Dental's success and provide top-notch service to our patients.
Compensation: $22-25 per hour, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities- Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits.
- Billing Statements: Prepare and submit accurate billing statements for patients.
- Insurance Claim Submission: Submit insurance claims and ensure proper processing.
- Communication: Review the billing company's daily communication sheet, respond to any queries, and complete the required actions.
- Accounts Receivable: Manage 30/60/90-day accounts receivable reports and follow up on delinquent accounts.
- Patient Billing Assistance: Answer patient inquiries regarding billing issues, ensuring clarity and understanding.
- Treatment Plan Presentation: Present treatment plans and provide financial options for patients.
- Scheduling: Assist with patient scheduling as necessary.
- Social Media Posting: Assist with social media posts to promote the practice.
- Insurance Breakdown: Break down insurance benefits and assist patients with understanding their coverage.
- Dental Plan Management: Manage Pure Dental Plan patients and their specific insurance needs.
- Friendly and Outgoing: Comfortable communicating with patients and staff.
- Detail-oriented: Able to handle complex insurance information with accuracy.
- Customer Service Focused: A dedicated team player who always puts the patient first.
- Confident Communicator: Able to discuss high-dollar treatment plans and financial matters with patients.
- Organized and Efficient: Capable of managing multiple responsibilities at once.
- Knowledgeable: Well-versed in both in-network and out-of-network benefits.
- Education: A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Experience: At least one year of dental experience, including some experience at the front desk or in billing.
- Skills: Proficient in Dentrix Dental Software and knowledgeable in using Word, Excel, and internet search engines. Familiarity with Weave and Pearl software is a plus.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, and use hands to perform tasks. Must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
