As an Ecologist for CEC, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects including mitigation banking, solar, oil/gas development, and public sector environmental planning. You’ll assist in wetland and stream delineation projects, prepare delineation reports, assist with preparing permit applications, and write NEPA documents.The majority of your time will be spent in the field, with some office work as-required.

Our Nashville office has a very strong and growing team of 7 ecologists.Our office is located in Franklin, TN, just minutes to Nashville while sitting in Williamson County which is nationally known for its phenomenal public schools and bountiful family

- take in a show at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center, listen to a concert at the Schermerhorn Symphony or check out the honkytonk scene.
- there’s always a show at Bridgestone Arena or Nissan Stadium (and it’s not unusual to see the performers downtown thereafter).
We aren’t short on sports; our city is home to 3 pro teams (Tennessee Titans, Nashville Soccer Club, and Nashville Predators) and AAA Baseball (Nashville Sounds).

Qualifications:
- BS in Environmental Science, Ecology, Environmental Engineering, Natural resources or related field;
- 3+ years' experience in wetland and stream related work, including leading delineations;
- Stream and wetland restoration planning, design principles, and success monitoring;
- 404/401 permitting experience;
- MBI/PRM development;
- Technical writing skills;
- Knowledge and experience with SQT.
Preferred Qualifications:
- TN QHP certificate;
- PWS Certificate;
- TN EPSC level 1 certification.
