Oral Surgery Dental Assistant - Part-time

Quincy Medical Group (QMG) is excited to offer an opportunity for a part-time Oral Surgery Dental Assistant to join our team. With more than 155 physicians and providers across West Central Illinois, Southeast Iowa, and Northeast Missouri, QMG has been a recognized leader in healthcare for over 85 years, continuing to innovate and transform patient care.
This position is part-time and non-exempt. Work hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm or finish. Work location is Quincy, IL.
Responsibilities:
As an Oral Surgery Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our oral surgeons during treatment and surgical procedures. Your responsibilities will include preparing and assisting with various procedures, performing dental radiographs, and maintaining a sterile field throughout surgeries.You will also handle some office duties, ensuring seamless communication and a smooth experience for patients, while prioritizing safety and comfort.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be proficient in dental and surgical procedures, possess excellent attention to detail, and have strong verbal and written communication skills. You should be able to accurately document patient information and work efficiently with patients both in person and over the phone.Maintaining high standards of infection control and patient care will be a top priority.
A high school diploma or GED is required. CPR certification is necessary and can be obtained upon hire. While Dental X-ray certification or Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification (DAANCE) is preferred, training will be provided as needed.One year of experience in a dental or healthcare environment is preferred but not required.
