Staff Accountant

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in NOVI, Michigan. As a Staff Accountant, you will be instrumental in maintaining accurate financial records, processing financial data, and dealing with various accounting tasks. This role centers on ensuring the accuracy of our general ledger, conducting account reconciliations, and providing support for various accounting projects.

Responsibilities:

• Handle account reconciliations on a monthly basis to ensure the accuracy of accounts
• Work actively with the general ledger
• Provide necessary information to external auditors during quarter and year-end
• Support open balance sheet accounting work for new acquisitions
• Analyze and assist with technical accounting queries around revenue and expense recognition
• Contribute to bank reconciliations and other associated accounting projects
• Use advanced Excel skills to streamline and optimize accounting processes.

• Role: Staff Accountant
• Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in the accounting field
• Proficiency in maintaining and managing General Ledger is mandatory
• Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Should be familiar with accounting software and Office Suite
• Strong analytical skills are essential
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices is required
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy is expected
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are necessary
• Must have the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically are important
• Willingness to continuously improve and adapt to new processes
• Experience with financial reporting and tax preparation is beneficial
• Familiarity with audit procedures and compliance regulations is preferred.
