Security Engineer
The Client. is a leading software development company specializing in application modernization, system integration, content management solution, and business process automation within the federal government. The Client is looking to hire a Sr. Software Engineer specializing in databases for its Research & Development team.
Duties and responsibilities: Automates database processes to support the CICD pipeline. Develops automation scripts for database versioning, migration, and backup. Ensures database automation is integrated with other automation tools in the pipeline.
Technical Requirements: Expertise in DevSecOps principles, tools, and technologies including CAST, Jenkins, SonarQube, NexusIQ, Nexus Repository Manager, RedHat Client, etc. Proficient in writing automated test cases and utilizing testing tools (Gauge, Selenium, etc Experience designing automated deployment solutions, integrating them with CI/CD, and utilizing deployment tools (Ansible, OpenShift, Liquibase, etc Experience with several programming languages (C#, Java, Python, C++, Groovy, etc Experience working with various version control systems (Gitlab, Github, Git) Proficiency in scripting and automation languages (Bash, PowerShell) Experience with configuration management tools (Puppet) Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift) and container security best practices.
Preferred Experience: Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks Strong problem-solving and debugging skills Ability to collaborate with development and operations teams CAST Certified Education Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field Must have a security clearance- Secret or Top Secret Must be a US citizen.Experience working in Agile scrum team environment is highly desired Experience with JIRA and other Atlassian tools is desired but not required Microsoft certifications in applicable and related areas preferred Employment Practices: EEO, ADA, FMLA Compliant VLink is an equal opportunity employer.
