Overview:

As a Senior Network Engineer at National DCP, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, documentation, and security of our network infrastructure across ten distribution centers servicing Quick Service Restaurants, the corporate headquarters office, and two colocation centers.

Your role will involve working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, managing network configurations, and providing technical support to ensure the highest level of network reliability and performance.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5pm (Flexible to support IT issues as needed)

Location: Duluth, GA

Responsibilities:

  1. Install, configure, document, and support wireless network infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  2. Implement advanced wireless features like ISE integration, RF management, guest access, and seamless roaming.
  3. Install, configure, document, and support network equipment including routers, firewalls, switches, UPSs, and PDUs.
  4. Configure firewalls, routing, switching, wireless, and SD-WAN functions to maximize network efficiency, redundancy, and security protocols.
  5. Assist in capacity planning to ensure the network infrastructure meets current and future business needs.
  6. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices. Assisting in audit & compliance activities by performing remediation activities and providing required evidence and input.
  7. Support Enterprise Security team with threat determination and mitigation.
  8. Support Enterprise Architecture teams with production support, maintenance, and evaluation of new technologies.
  9. Support Help Desk team with network related escalations that impact end user experience and application availability.
  10. Review and resolve network related tickets in a timely manner adherent to established corporate SLAs.
  11. Implement and maintain monitoring of all network infrastructure and alerting for outages and anomalies.
  12. Create and maintain network documentation and diagrams to include topology details, circuit information, routing, redundancy, and support contacts.
  13. Identify and evaluate new network technologies that could improve network efficiency, end user experience, or provide cost savings.
  14. Ensure thorough completion of assigned work items and tasks.
  15. Maintain good standing on all compliance related matters (i.e., assigned mandatory trainings, actions required from audits, corporate policies, etc.).
  16. Submit all time and expense procedures accurately and timely as needed.
  17. Perform all additional duties and responsibilities based on the direction and guidance of supervisor.
  18. Ensure necessary working environment and capabilities to effectively carry out responsibilities if working from an Alternative Work Location.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  2. CCIE Wireless preferred, CCNP Wireless required
  3. 10+ years of hands-on experience building, supporting and maintaining wireless networks in a highly redundant network with an emphasis on Cisco wireless
  4. 5+ years of hands-on experience building, supporting and maintaining of Network Policy & Network Access control with Cisco ISE
  5. Strong experience managing and maintaining Cisco switches and Palo Alto firewalls
  6. Strong experience successfully defining systems strategy, developing systems requirements, designing, prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.
  7. Strong negotiation and team-building skills with the ability to create consensus around decisions and mitigate conflicts among teams.
  8. Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  9. Professional level verbal and written communication skills.
  10. Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office suite (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, etc.).
  11. High attention to detail and quality.
  12. Willingness to seek out and implement coaching and guidance instruction from others.

  1. Ability and willingness to handle work related issues during all hours of the day, every day of the week, understanding the responsibility of our organization’s requirement for 24/7 production support.
  2. Ability and willingness to travel as needed for approved work purposes.
  3. Participate in on-call rotations to provide after-hours support as needed.
