Robert Half - Human Resources (HR) Manager

We are on the lookout for a Human Resources (HR) Manager in Louisville, Kentucky. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing comprehensive HR support, ensuring smooth operations across employee life cycle, labor relations, coaching, training, and benefits administration.

Responsibilities:

• Lead recruiting strategies for both hourly and salaried positions, and support onboarding process for permanent employees.
• Oversee succession and workforce planning efforts, including planning for career development.
• Collaborate with the Operations team to proficiently manage a workforce under a collective bargaining agreement.
• Offer counsel to managers on labor relations matters, interpret contract provisions, and assist managers in grievance resolution.
• Handle employee relation issues such as employee concerns, complaints, harassment allegations, and recommend suitable action.
• Act as the primary point of contact for communicating benefits information to employees, resolving employee benefit issues.
• Manage external relationships with benefit providers and government agencies.
• Develop, document, and implement HR policies and procedures, and guide managers and employees accoringly.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management
• 3-7 years of experience in a similar role is required
• Understanding of Benefit Functions within the HR role
• Extensive experience with Compliance and employee relations
• Prior experience working in HR union environment
• Change management experience
