Ultrasound Technologist, Reg, 0-2 yrs Contract - 25-20017

Location: New York, NY

Schedule:

• Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
• 7.5-hour shifts, Monday – Friday (10:00 AM – 6:00 PM)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Registered Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures. The technologist will assist radiologists, operate imaging equipment, and ensure patient safety while maintaining an efficient workflow in the department.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and position patients for ultrasound examinations following established protocols.
• Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment while ensuring patient and personnel safety.
• Capture and transfer images onto PACS for radiologist review.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor adjustments to ultrasound equipment.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure exam documentation is complete.
• Assist in training and mentoring new ultrasound personnel.
• Manage inventory and ensure adequate supplies are available for daily operations.
• Answer telephones, schedule examinations, and arrange patient transportation as needed.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a sterile environment.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

Experience:

• Minimum of 2+ years as an Ultrasound Technologist.

Education:

• Associate’s Degree in Diagnostic Medical Technology OR High School Diploma/GED with completion of an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography training program.

Certifications & Licenses:

• ARDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer – RDMS)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ARRT certification
