Supply Chain_Inventory Control Analyst
Overview:
Reduces the impact of aged inventory by collectively working with Sales and Purchasing to prevent inventory (Raw and Finished goods) from becoming aged. Moves already aged inventory to prevent negative impact on the inventory reserve. Identifies and eliminates stranded. As needed will also act as Customer Service Rep for CPOH accounts.
Responsibilities:
Prevents inventory aging & reduces amount of inventory to idea amounts by coordinating inventory activities with CPOH Commercial Team (Regional Sales, J-Auto, Specialty Metals, National Accounts, and CPOH Purchasing).
Recommends changes to inventory levels by using MRP data, customer usage history, and purchasing history, to improve the amount of inventory levels needed, keeping in line with customer demand. Primarily focuses on preventing inventory from aging and reducing overall inventory to ideal levels.
Moves inventory (Raw and Finished Goods) that has already reached an aging level that is impacting the inventory reserve, by coordinating this activity with CPOH Commercial Team (Regional Sales, J-Auto, Specialty Metals, National Accounts, and CPOH Purchasing)
Achieves aged inventory levels (Raw and Finished Goods) to meet/exceed corporate goals for inventory reserve.
Reports at least monthly to Division leadership (President, Regional Sales Manager, Purchasing, Operations, & Quality) variances & trends on aged and or excessive inventory levels with action plan where needed.
Identify excess inventory (Raw and Finished goods) and develops plans to remove it from inventory, by using in a cross application, selling to another CP division, selling secondary, etc.
Create/manage a monthly secondary inventory list. Publish internally, and present to the Purchasing Manager and Division President to be offered to other CP divisions. Offers externally as needed.
Collect inventory tags to be scrapped monthly, consolidate into a report and present to Division President before months end.
Manages any assigned CSR accounts as needed for CPOH.
Qualifications:
- Highly developed analytical skills
- Drive for excellence – initiative to attain stretch goals
- Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement programs
- Systems orientation
- Work authorization: United States (Required)
- BS in Sales / Marketing or Business, or its equivalent in experience, with significant exposure to data analytics.(Preferred)
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in Customer Service
- 1-3 years’ experience in business analytics or marketing research and analysis is needed
