School Nurse Practitioner - NJSCHRN

• Pay: Total stipend of $125,000 annually

Qualifications:

1. Registered Nurse with Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification
2. Strong clinical and assessment skills
3. Valid CPR and ACLS certifications
4. Successful background check and proof of U.S. residency

Performance Responsibilities:

• Provides direct patient care to students, diagnosing and treating minor illnesses and injuries.
• Works with students with chronic conditions such as asthma or diabetes, monitoring their health and adjusting care plans as necessary.
• Performs physical examinations as required by law and school policies.
• Conducts routine screenings and ensures that all required health documentation is current and complete.
• Responds to medical emergencies, providing immediate care and coordinating with emergency services if necessary.
• Collaborates with parents, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for students with complex health needs.
• Educates students and staff about health issues, disease prevention, and wellness practices.
