Eligibility/Intake Specialist

It will also involve maintaining accurate records, assisting with the enrolment process, and providing reports to program management.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate effectively with applicant families regarding their eligibility status.
• Maintain and update program files accurately, including correcting errors based on third level review.
• Assist families with program enrolment, including helping with application paperwork and providing information about relevant processes and forms.
• Enter complete and accurate information into database management systems.
• Provide reports to program management and partners as directed and required.
• Assist in the set-up and tear-down of daily appointments throughout the community.
• Host daily appointments to assist applicant families with the completion of application paperwork and the collection of required documentation.
• Travel to various community locations where appointments are hosted
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools including Microsoft Office 365
• In-depth understanding and use of Microsoft Office Suites
• Experience or background in Human Services
• Previous role as a Sunday School Teacher is desirable
• Tutoring experience is considered an asset
• Prior experience in a Preschool environment
• Familiarity with Public Schools and their compliance requirements
• Strong analytical skills for reviewing compliance documents
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Knowledge of non-profit sector regulations and compliance standards
• Proven track record of being detail-oriented and maintaining ethical behavior.
