Position Summary:

Program Management
  • Develop, implement, and innovate program strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Oversee the management, growth, and evaluation of multiple programs, ensuring continuous quality improvement.
  • Lead program scaling efforts to increase impact across participants and the community.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps and design programs that effectively address them.
Staff Leadership and Development
  • Supervise and mentor program staff, fostering a supportive and collaborative team environment.
  • Facilitate professional development opportunities to strengthen team capacity and skills.
  • Promote a culture of inclusivity and innovation.
Community and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and external agencies to enhance program outreach and effectiveness.
  • Represent the organization at community events, stakeholder meetings, and training opportunities.
Financial Management and Sustainability
  • Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Identify funding opportunities for new programs by securing grants, sponsorships, and partnerships.
  • Prepare financial reports and program progress updates for the Executive Director, board members, funders, and stakeholders.
Monitoring and Reporting
  • Conduct regular program evaluations to measure impact, identify areas for improvement, and inform strategic planning.
  • Report progress on programs, highlighting successes and opportunities for growth to key decision-makers and funders.

Qualifications

Education and Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management within the nonprofit sector, with at least 2 years focused on managing multiple diverse programs.
  • A minimum of 3 years of staff management experience, preferably supervising departments or teams across programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience working with the IDD community (highly preferred).
Skills and Attributes
  • Strong understanding of program design, evaluation, and community needs assessment processes.
  • Exceptional leadership, team-building, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop program budgets responsibly.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple programs and priorities effectively.
  • Grant writing experience and securing programmatic funding are a strong plus.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish (highly preferred)
