Job Description

Project Financial Management:

  • Oversee all financial aspects of assigned construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking.
  • Monitor project budgets, actual costs, and variances, providing regular updates to project managers and senior leadership.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate project financial reports, including WIP (Work-in-Progress) schedules, billings, and change orders.

Billing and Revenue Recognition:

  • Manage project invoicing processes, including reviewing and submitting client billings.
  • Ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition in accordance with company policies and GAAP.

Cost Control and Analysis:

  • Collaborate with project teams to analyze cost data, identify potential overruns, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Track subcontractor costs, purchase orders, and vendor invoices to ensure proper allocation to projects.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure adherence to contractual terms and compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
  • Maintain organized project documentation, including contracts, amendments, and financial records.

The Successful Applicant

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. CPA or CMA designation is a plus.

Experience:Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction or real estate development industry.
Proven experience managing the financial aspects of multi-million-dollar construction projects.
Technical Skills:

Proficiency in construction accounting software (e.g., Sage 300, Viewpoint, Procore) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
