Description
Gryphon Scientific is seeking a Budget and Contract Analyst to work with the Director of Proposals and Contract Support for a small and growing federal research contracting organization. Support our staff of 80 scientists and non-technical personnel in proposal development, budget management, and contract administration.
Duties
Pre-Award Contract Support For Proposals- Review solicitations and summarize compliance needs for proposal leads
- Support the development of Business/Price proposal volumes that address project requirements, are consistent with government regulations and company policies
- Support data calls for proposal efforts providing resumes, capability statements, and labor rate information as needed
- Assist with set-up of new projects; summarize compliance needs for PIs
- Assist PIs in budgeting their projects and enter baseline budgets and all subsequent changes in our accounting system
- Track and review expenditures with PIs upon request
- Manage Purchase Orders for all new and modified agreements
- Promptly update all contract budgets as needed
- Cross-train with finance to assist in travel expense processing
- Track contract end dates and assist PIs in tracking budgets as contracts near end date; develop plans to avoid overruns
- Review and negotiate non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, consultant agreements and subcontract agreements (when Gryphon is a subcontractor or prime contractor with subcontracts); ensure that subcontract budgets fit the available contract resources and track the commitments
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years of government contracts, budgeting, or finance experience
- Solid working knowledge of Federal contracting legislation and regulations including FAR and CAS
- Experience processing and submitting grant and contract applications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Sharepoint) with high degree of proficiency in Excel
- Bachelor's degree
- Excellent oral and written communications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational, analytic, and problem-solving skills
- Effective interpersonal and time management skills
- Ability to develop collaborative business relationships, externally and internally

Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000
The actual salary will be determined based on factors such as degree attainment, major specialization, and years of relevant experience.
