Senior Sharepoint Developer/Architect

Job Description:

The Senior SharePoint Developer/Architect will ensure the continuity of the SharePoint environment and assist in building strategic vision for the future. This role involves defining, documenting, and validating an appropriate technical architecture for SharePoint solutions and administering the environment to align with client’s goals and requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in SharePoint administration, software development, and technical architecture. The position is a hybrid role with 2-3 days of onsite work required weekly.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure continuity of the SharePoint environment, maintaining its integrity and performance.
  • Assist in building and implementing NCUA’s strategic vision for the SharePoint environment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure SharePoint solutions meet organizational needs and goals.
  • Define, document, and validate an appropriate technical architecture for SharePoint solutions.
  • Develop effective software architecture, enforcing good software development principles.
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance to the development team.
  • Review functional and non-functional design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.
  • Administer the SharePoint environment, ensuring it aligns with client’s goals and requirements.
  • Perform regular maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
  • Ensure security and compliance standards are met within the SharePoint environment.
  • Design and develop new features and functions for SharePoint applications.
  • Lead and/or contribute to a team of skilled developers to create new products or new versions of existing products.
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor other developers to promote best practices in software development.

Qualifications:

Required
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Systems Management, Math, Statistics, Operations Research, or Engineering.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience as a SharePoint Administrator required if no Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in software development in a professional capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of software architecture and development principles.
  • Experience using SCRUM methodology.
  • Proficiency in C#, .NET, ASP.NET, SQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server or equivalent databases.
  • Familiarity with TFS, Git, or other version control systems.
Preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint development in AWS strongly desired.
  • Previous Federal Consulting Experience
