How you make a difference:

This role involves not only direct therapy but also supervising treatment progress to ensure effective outcomes and enhance the quality of life for those served.

Key Responsibilities:

• OT Assessments and Environment Evaluation: Conducts occupational therapy (OT) assessments and evaluates the environment to make necessary adjustments for improving the individual’s functionality.
• Treatment Plan Development: Develops comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with treatment teams and medical professionals to address areas of dysfunction and promote recovery.
• Supervision of OT Interventions: Supervises the implementation of occupational therapy interventions to ensure proper execution and effectiveness.
• Individual and Group Therapy: Provides individual and group occupational therapy sessions and thoroughly documents services provided in accordance with standards.
• Program Development and Evaluation: Works with rehabilitation leadership to develop rehabilitation programs, evaluates their effectiveness, and helps individuals regain lost skills through structured therapy.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education:

• Required: Master’s degree in occupational therapy.

Experience:

• Preferred: Experience in a psychiatric hospital or secure setting.

Licenses:

• Required: Current license as an Occupational Therapist in state of practice.
